Happy New Year! We’ve been shipping fast and wanted to keep you in the loop on the latest Vala (formerly Cwiz) improvements designed to make your work easier. Whether you’ve been using Vala or helped shape it through early conversations, this update covers what we’ve shipped over the past couple of months. Going forward, you can expect short monthly updates on what’s new and what we’re building next.

What shipped

Chat with Vala

In the platform, you’ll notice that you now have a brand new chat agent to help you get work done faster. Ask questions about a client's full list of C-File documents, identify low or missing ratings, generate lay statements, and more— right from the chat.

Autofill VA forms

Filling out PDF forms sucks, so we’re constantly growing the list of VA forms that you can autofill with client information. The most recent addition is a monster: the 526EZ. You can now pre-fill the form with biographic info for clients, saving time and your fingers.

Create and share custom web forms

Did you know that you can create custom web forms for collecting leads and gathering client info? Form responses show up directly in your client list, so you can stop worrying about typing or copying data over manually.

Send messages and gather docs via client portal

You cooouuuld email and text clients back and forth to gather documents and sensitive info. But a better way is to let clients do it themselves. From any client page, click the “Send Portal Invite” button to allow clients to upload documents and exchange secure messages with you.

What we’re building next

Universal e-signature

Upload any document (i.e., contingency agreement, etc.) and send it to clients for signature, without relying on external tools.

AI chat upgrades

Improved accuracy, citations down to the page number, form filling from right inside the agent.

Ask

If you run into a bug, have a feature request, or just want to share feedback, you can click Get Help in the product to reach our team directly. And if you’d rather talk it through, just reply to this email.
