Finding something in thousands of pages of client records used to mean opening PDFs one by one and hoping you remembered where it was.

Now you can instantly search every document in a client’s file, including handwritten notes.

Just go to Client → Documents and type any keyword.

Call Upgrades

The Calls page has been rebuilt so everything lives in one place.

You can now:

• Dial any number
• Call existing clients directly
• See all call logs and transcripts
• Extract client data from the conversation with one click

After a call ends, Vala captures the relevant details and applies them directly to the client profile — no more switching between tools to capture call notes.

Tasks, Checklists & Templates

All your tasks now live on a single page so nothing slips through the cracks.

From Sidebar → Tasks, you can:

• Manage due dates
• Turn tasks into reusable templates
• Group tasks into checklists
• Automatically create checklists through automations

This helps standardize your workflow so every case runs the same way.

What we’re building next

C-File Updates

Vala already extracts your clients’ conditions and ratings from their documents. We’re working on major improvements to make this even more thorough.

Soon you’ll be able to see:

• Conditions and ratings extracted more accurately across the full C-File
• Timelines showing how conditions and claims evolved over time
• Related claim documents surfaced alongside each condition and rating

The goal is to make it easier to understand a veteran’s full claim history at a glance.

Autofill forms from chat

Soon you'll be able to fill out VA forms directly from chat.

Just type something like: “Fill out a 21-4138 using the client’s knee problems.”

Vala will generate the form automatically and handle any edits you request.

No copying, pasting, or manual formatting.

Presumptive conditions

We’re building an AI review step that scans a client’s service history for presumptive conditions and flags them automatically.

This helps ensure no eligible rating opportunities are missed.
